Gough Bailey Wright were left in the “˜pink’, after raising hundreds of pounds for a cancer charity. We raised £350 for Breast Cancer Care by completing a number of activities last week to celebrate “˜Pink October’, a month dedicated to this inspirational women’s charity.
Our 27 strong team all donned pink on Friday, each member of team donating to this special charity and helping to organise a series of charity activities including a Mastermind competition, a guess the baby competition, guess the pink superhero and the office bakers all sold their delicious homemade cakes.
The staff at the agency raised £175 and the owners, Sue Bailey and Michelle Wright, kindly matched the figure. We have taken part in “˜Pink October’ for the past two years and last year raised £200 for the cancer charity. In the past we have also helped raise money for other worthy charities including “˜Wear It Red’ day for the British Heart Foundation and Sport Relief.
Breast Cancer Care helps anyone affected by breast cancer, this charity brings people together by providing information, support and campaigns to improve standards of care for those suffering from breast cancer.
Michelle Wright, client services director at Gough Bailey Wright, said: “We have a very kind and caring team who are always willing to get on board with charity initiatives.
“Everyone has enjoyed the week’s activities and as a breast cancer survivor myself, I’m really pleased we have raised funds for such a worthy cause.
“We all know someone who has had their life affected by cancer and we hope that the funds make a difference to the vital work carried out by Breast Cancer Care.”
