West Midlands marketing communications agency, Gough Bailey Wright, has picked up an award at the first year of the Golden Hedgehog Public Relations Awards 2012.
The awards ceremony took place at Villa Park on Wednesday night (28th March) and recognised outstanding PR campaigns from the past year in the Midlands, Wales and the South, including London.
The Bromsgrove-based agency, Gough Bailey Wright, picked up the award for Best Public Affairs Campaign of the year for client, Sainsbury’s. The judges said: “This pro-active two-pronged campaign managed to achieve its clear aims and objectives successfully whilst engaging with and gaining much public support for an initially opposed development plan.”
The agency was also nominated for a further two awards; Community Engagement Campaign of the year, also for Sainsbury’s and Best Use of Media Relations Campaign for client, Drayton Manor Theme Park.
Sue Bailey, Managing Director at Gough Bailey Wright, said: “We’re thrilled to have received this award. It acknowledges all the hard work and dedication of the team.
“To win a Golden Hedgehog Award in the inaugural year, especially up against some of London’s top agencies, is amazing recognition.” she added.
