Full-service marketing agency, Gough Bailey Wright, has recruited more young talent to its growing team.
Emma Portman, an English Language and Communications graduate, has joined the Bromsgrove-based consultancy after successfully completing its internship programme.
The 21-year-old, a former pupil of South Bromsgrove High School, was offered a permanent position as Junior Account Executive in the consultancy’s busy PR department.
“Growing up in Bromsgrove, I was well aware of Gough Bailey Wright’s fantastic reputation and enviable client base,” said Emma.
“As soon as I’d completed my degree I made contact and was delighted when I was offered work experience and then a place on the PR internship programme.”
Emma, who completed her degree at Cardiff University, was quick to impress as she supported the PR team with its growing list of clients including The National SEA LIFE Centre Birmingham, York Dungeons, Kingdom Interiors and Whitehead Designs.
Sue Bailey, Managing Director at Gough Bailey Wright, said: “Whilst we pride ourselves on the experience and knowledge of our team, it’s also very important to us that we bring on and nurture new, local talent.
“Our competitive internship programme is very hands-on and aims to provide a real, day-to-day grounding in the trainee’s chosen discipline.
“Emma was quick to settle into the PR team, impressing with her willingness, energy and enthusiasm. At the same time, she was exposed to our digital, creative, social media and specialist community affairs departments – an extremely valuable experience when embarking on a marketing career.”
