Full-service Midlands marketing agency, Gough Bailey Wright, has welcomed two new faces to its growing team, who have both graduated from the company’s internship programme.
Lisa O’Keeffe secured a permanent role as a PR assistant following a successful two-month internship. The 21-year-old University of Birmingham graduate, who is originally from London, was initially snapped up by Gough Bailey Wright as a trainee in its busy PR department and has undertaken an in-depth coaching programme which she completed with flying colours. In her permanent role she will now concentrate on social media development and public relations support for the company’s growing list of clients, including Drayton Manor Theme Park and Webbs Garden Centres.
Also new to the team is Sam Wright, who has joined as an office junior. Fresh from completing his A-Levels, Bromsgrove-born Sam secured an internship at the company last summer and has returned for a permanent role, with future ambitions to pursue a career in PR. The 19-year-old will be responsible for assisting with the administration and day-to-day activities of the agency’s PR and community relations departments.
Sue Bailey, managing director at Gough Bailey Wright, said: “Whilst we pride ourselves on the experience and knowledge of our team, it’s also very important to us that we bring on and nurture new talent. Our internships are very hands-on and aim to provide a real, day-to-day grounding in the trainee’s chosen discipline. Both Lisa and Sam demonstrated a real aptitude for working in their respective PR and marketing roles, as well as energy and enthusiasm to learn, and we are very pleased to welcome them both to our team.”
