Gough Bailey Wright’s 4th annual bake off took a spooky Halloween twist this year, raising over £100 for Leukaemia Care.
“It’s an honour to partner with Leukaemia Care as their Creative Marketing agency” said Sue Bailey, Managing Director at GBW. “It makes such a significant contribution to so many people’s lives it seemed only fitting we donate the proceeds of our annual bake off to the charity. Knowing the proceeds would go to such a worthy cause certainly inspired the team and the results not only looked amazing, but tasted great too.”
The budding bakers worked tirelessly to get their masterpieces ready for the judging by GBW Creative Director, Rhodi Burridge and a very special guest from Leukaemia Care – there wasn’t a soggy bottom in sight!
Instead there was a mix of eerie eye balls, rocky toads, spooky spider cookies and a scary slime cake to rival the creations of master baker, Paul Hollywood. The best in class was a Haunted House cake comprising a two-tiered Victoria sponge cake with white chocolate house, gravestones and pumpkins that took over 10 hours to create!
