TV AND FILM STARS AT GBW FOR COMIC RELIEF
What do Buzz Lightyear, Zippy, Superman, Smurfette and Darth Vader have in common? They were special guests at Gough Bailey Wright (GBW), all in the name of fundraising for Red Nose Day.
As part of this year’s Comic Relief, our staff enthusiastically dressed up as their favourite TV and movie characters on Friday 15th March.
Their efforts helped raise £180 for the annual event. Money was also raised from an office pub quiz and the sale of delicious homemade cakes.
Sue Bailey, GBW’s Managing Director, said: “The office was awash with superheroes, screen legends and TV characters, as staff really got into the charity’s spirit of being funny for money. We all had an amazing time raising vital funds for such a worthwhile cause, which helps people in poverty across the world and in the UK.”
Red Nose Day is where everyone has to make people laugh to raise money, to help change countless lives across the globe. Comic Relief supports numerous projects across the UK and Africa including youth mental health and people living in slums.
